Job Title: Administrative Assistant

​​​​Position Summary:

The Church Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing

comprehensive administrative and organizational support to the

Church, Pastor, Council, and Committees. This role encompasses

a wide range of administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation

of church functions while maintaining alignment

with the Mission and Vision of the church.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage communications: respond to emails, phone calls, and coordinate the church calendar, weekly bulletins, and newsletters. Handle mail pick-up and distribution.

  • Oversee volunteer scheduling, event coordination, and facility use management. Ensure spaces are prepared and resources are available.

  • Update and maintain the church website, social media, and mass communication systems. Edit and upload live-stream videos to web platforms.

  • Coordinate logistics for church events, order supplies, and prepare printed materials such as handouts, flyers, and signage.

  • Support financial tasks such as ordering supplies, tracking expenses, and managing receipt reporting.

  • Provide administrative support to pastors and ministry leaders, handle church documentation, assist with organizational tasks such as recording and distributing meeting minutes as needed, and ensure volunteer background checks are processed and kept up to date.

 

Qualifications:

  • Exhibits a strong ability to adapt to a people-centered work environment, meet deadlines, and handle sensitive situations with tact and discretion. Maintaining absolute confidentiality is essential.

  • Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail and innovative administrative approaches.

  • Proficient with technology, including website management, data processing, and effective written and verbal communication.

  • Committed to fulfilling the mission, values, and doctrine of the church, with a collaborative, team-oriented attitude and respect for diverse backgrounds.

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred but not required. Minimum of two years of clerical or administrative experience preferred but not required. Entry level graphic design or Photoshop experience is a plus.

 

Job Details

  • Job Type: Part-time

  • Pay: Starting at $15.00 per hour, based on experience

  • Expected Hours: Up to 25 per week

  • Schedule: Day shift | Tuesday–Friday
